Commander Cody in the back. Bro the theme song for this damn movie is amazing Especially at the end when they show the original Avengers with their signatures 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. First time writing a review. Unlike other ones I've seen I thought the movie was relatively good. The CGI especially in the fighter battle scenes was amazing, Leia was done well and the lightsaber duels were awesome, but the plot goes pretty much how you think it will. After coming out of this movie I'm wondering was there any relevant thing that happened in TLJ? Feels like JJ Abrams did 2 things and Rian Johnson did his own.

Replacing Jedi with Skywalker was the first thing I thought of too. It's a lengthy and flashy joyride, instead of a worthy end to the epic saga we wished for. It's an end, and, sadly, I'm glad it's over. Remember in the prequels, when R2D2 could suddenly fly? Remember that? There's a few moments like that, in there. Too often, I had to sigh at the lackluster writing and ideas. I get it, though; what else could they have done after the dreadful second installment. I wish they did a little ghost thing in the end with the spirits of the old fallen and the people that fell in this trilogy.

The title The Rise of Skywalker sound like J. J. Abrams is giving the middle finger to Rian Johnson :p. Episode 8 trailer opens up with Luke saying “ breathe.” This one starts with Rey breathing heavily. Still, there are plot elements that could have been skipped, old and new characters that add little to nothing: the fat has not been trimmed and the movie outstays its welcome by about half an hour. The action is loud and obnoxious, rather than exiting, just like with the two previous films.

Making a movie after The Last Jedi, can't have been a pleasant job. The writers and director managed to make a third installment that cleans up after that debacle and returns to form. I like your edit, unfortunately It loses all its momentum and intensity as soon as it gets to episode 7 as it completely takes the focus off Vader. The final film will just has to have something about Vader in it to recapture what made Star Wars good, I am convinced of that.

Felt like it tried to fit too much in too little time, everything went way too fast. This trilogy has been a huge disappointment tbh. Honestly, I would SO accept the old Jarjar as the true Sith lord story over this whole retardification.
